“Jackie Kallen is known as “The First Lady of Boxing.” She has been the most successful woman in the history of boxing, having managed and promoted many champions, as well as owning and operating her own boxing gym.

She was the inspiration for the Meg Ryan film “Against the Ropes”. A former journalist, Kallen was a member of the original cast of NBC’s “The Contender” with Sylvester Stallone and Sugar Ray Leonard. She has interviewed most of the top celebrities in movies, sports, music, and TV over the past 50 years.
Kallen has been written up in publications like sports illustrated, the New York Times, the LA Times, the Wall Street Journal, and many others. She has been a guest on NBC’s “The Today Show” as well as “The View,” “The Jon Stewart Show” and “The Nightly Show.”

A noted motivational speaker, Kallen has written two books, “Hit Me with your Best Shot, “and “Between the Ropes”.

She has been involved in many charitable causes including helping battered women and mentoring young girls. She is the mother of two sons and five grandchildren.
